1.  Timeline: The Editor agrees to complete the editing work  provided that the Client delivers the manuscript and any necessary materials by agreed upon date. Timeline may be adjusted by mutual agreement.

2. Payment Terms: The Client agrees to pay the Editor the agreed upon fee for the services. Payment is due as follows:•☐ 50% deposit due upon signing this agreement•☐ 50% upon completion and before delivery of final edited manuscript•☐ OR Full payment due upfrontPayments can be made. Late payments may incur a fee of $25 per week, and editing will pause until payment is received.

 

3. Confidentiality: All materials submitted by the Client will be kept strictly confidential. The Editor agrees not to share, publish, or otherwise disclose any part of the Client’s work without prior written permission.

 

4.. Copyright:  The Client retains full ownership and copyright of all submitted and edited materials. The Editor claims no rights to the content.

 

5. Limitation of Liability: The Editor makes no guarantees regarding publication or commercial success. While every effort will be made to ensure the accuracy and professionalism of the edit, the final responsibility for the content lies with the Client.

 

6. Termination:  Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice. If terminated after work has begun, the Client will be billed for work completed to date. Any deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

 

 

7. Governing Law:  This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to conflict of law principles.

 

8. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. Any modifications must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
